Post: Personal Assistant/ Care Worker
Hours: 31 Hours per week
Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour Gross
Driving License: Preferable but not necessary.
The hours will cover weekends, with an opportunity of more hours when covering holidays. Multiple applicants can be considered for this role for a week on, week off rota if they are suitable.
This role is to assist a 19-year-old woman who is starting at Stirling University, studying Psychology. The role will include some personal care and assistance with socialising.
The young woman is severely visually impaired and is a wheelchair user, she is looking for someone with similar interests who can help balance studying, socialising and everyday life.
The young woman is very social, fun loving, is an animal lover, outgoing and has hobbies including music (listening and playing), listening to books and watching tv shows.
The ideal candidate would be someone who can assist with day to day tasks but also understand the importance of when to step back and encourage independence.
Personal care will include;
- Assisting with medications
- Assisting with mealtimes
- Assisting with accessing events and community
- Assisting with nasogastric feed
- Any other duties that commensurate with the role of being a Personal Assistant
Nasogastric Feed training will be provided with the role.
Applicants will be required to have a PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) and will be willing to share this information with the employer or will apply promptly with the success of the application.
