Job description:
The Private Care Company aim to employ and retain the highest quality care assistants in Brighton and Hove and in return for your skills, experience and commitment we offer excellent working conditions and benefits including:

£13.80/hr + paid holiday
Enhanced rates on Bank Holidays
Guaranteed regular hours and additional hours/overtime available if wanted
Structured routes with clustered calls, caring for the same individuals each day
Payment for travel time
Paid petrol expenses - Up to £7.50 per day
Minimum 30-minute call time

Job Description

The Private Care Company is a private, award winning and fully independent home care agency. We pride ourselves on our excellent reputation to provide high quality home care services which support our clients to remain independently living in their own homes for as long as possible.

We’re currently looking to recruit 4 full-time care assistants living in the Brighton & Hove area to provide care for clients living in the local area. Ideally, you’ll have relevant experience and qualifications, however, we offer full training to those wishing to enter the care industry who have a caring nature and demonstrate our core values of kindness and empathy.

Key Accountabilities:
To deliver all tasks stated on the care plans to an excellent standard and in accordance with all The Private Care Company’s policies and procedures, best practice, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations
To carry out and assist clients of The Private Care Company with a variety of personal and practical care tasks which may include helping to wash, getting dressed, light housework, laundry, shopping etc.
To support client’s food and fluid intake as directed by the care plan, and to ensure documentation of all intake as per training
To maintain care skills at the required level and undertake such training and development as may from time to time be required
To communicate with and report any incidents to the Care Manager as necessary to ensure high standards of care are delivered
To liaise with other professionals such as district nurses, doctors, pharmacists, occupational therapists etc, to ensure that clients receive a high standard of care
To manage own workload of allocated client visits and to be responsible for documenting each client visit on the online care planning app
Skills / Experience / Knowledge:

The Care Certificate (full training provided)
Multi-skilled care delivery capability
Good written and oral communication skills
Person Profile:

Team player
Ability to think on feet
Kind, caring and patient
Able to manage difficult situations
Reliable
Lives in local area - we are unable to provide sponsorship
Has full driving licence and access to a car
Working Hours:

0700 – 1900hrs
0700-1300
1800-2300
3 or 4 day routes available to include 1 weekend day each week
