Crynodeb
Communication To communicate effectively with patients, relatives, visitors and health care personnel at all levels and disciplines, in order to minimise the spread of infection. To challenge standards of environmental and equipment cleaning, reporting findings and actions. Investigate outbreaks of infection, with particular reference to source and mode of spread, and advise on measures of control. Clinical Duties Assess the risk of transfer and acquisition of micro-organisms and initiate appropriate action to prevent and control infection. Policy and Service Development To contribute to the development, review and update of evidence based policies, procedures and standards for group-wide implementation, to prevent and control infection. Additionally provide support to wards.
