Main Responsibilities
The scope of the post will require the post holder to have or develop a good depth of understanding of remotely-sensed imagery, imagery workflows (including the manipulation, processing and production of certified products), and terrain datasets and their editing.
Key activities include:
Ordering, exploitation and dissemination of imagery to support the generation of imagery and terrain products for co-production programmes and operations, or as support to DGC strategic and ad-hoc internal and contractor production activities.
Provisioning, geopositioning and archiving of softcopy imagery and products.
Coordination, editing and production of refined terrain datasets and future terrain capability.
Stereo and mono mensuration of vertical obstructions in support of aviation safety.
Determination of the accuracy of imagery and terrain data.
Provision of imagery and terrain data products and expertise to internal and wider Defence customers.
This role has line management responsibilities for one member of staff.
