Crynodeb
The successful applicant will be part of a team responsible for all aspects of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support assessment. As well as assessing entitlement consistently and accurately, the post holder will be required to provide benefits advice and explanations in writing, face-to-face and over the telephone.
Full training will be given to successful applicants without experience. Please note that until training has been successfully completed and you are able to work independently, employees will be required to work in the office. Training takes between six months and one year.
Shortlisted applicants for the role will be invited to a competency test the week commencing 13th October 2025. Applicants reaching the required standard will be invited to a formal interview in week commencing 27th October 2025. Chelmsford City Council operates a hybrid working policy and, once training has been successfully completed, applicants will be able to work from home with minimal need to visit the office.
