Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of women? Do you have the leadership skills to guide a dedicated team? The Nelson Trust is looking for a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our Women's Community Services as a Senior Rise Practitioner.

‘Rise’ is an inhouse programme delivered by The Nelson Trust to support women who have experienced – or at risk of - removals of children into the care system. The ‘Rise’ team support women throughout Somerset to take control of their lives, breaking a destructive cycle that causes both them and their children deep trauma, as well as reducing huge costs to society.

What's in it for you?
Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 per annum
Location: Sedgemoor, Bridgwater Women's Centre
Hours: 35 hours per week
Pension: Auto-enrolment with a 6% employer contribution

As the Senior Rise Practitioner, you will provide leadership and guidance to the Rise team and wider women’s centre team, providing an integrated package of health, therapeutic, and social support to women in Somerset. You'll manage a small caseload, work from our Women's Centre in Bridgwater three days a week, and conduct outreach in the Sedgemoor area two days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coach the Rise Practice team to achieve positive outcomes for women
Collaborate with Somerset Leads and Strategic Partnerships Manager to ensure fidelity to the Rise Framework
Manage data reporting and ensure KPIs are met
Establish effective pathways with key agencies
Supervise keyworkers and manage project expenditure
Represent The Nelson Trust and the Rise programme to external stakeholders

What We're Looking For:
Experience working with people with complex needs
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Knowledge of community resources and local services
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to the values of respect, empowerment, and inclusion

Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women’s Centres, this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) as it involves access to vulnerable adults and/or children and successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced level Disclosure & Barring Service Check.

We have become known for the quality of our work and ability to provide bespoke care and support services. While we are proud of our achievements so far, we are ambitious and want to continue to grow and diversify our workforce.

We recognise that employees from different backgrounds bring unique knowledge, perspectives, and experiences, and we are committed to increasing the diversity of our workforce and welcome applications from individuals across all sectors of society.
