Blatchington Mill School seeks a Facilities Support Assistant to join the Facilities Team at this popular and successful comprehensive secondary school within the local authority of Brighton & Hove. This is a large site and we are very proud of our fabulous grounds and facilities. We have made significant investment in our premises over recent times and are looking for someone to help with their upkeep.

The job is varied, challenging and satisfying, it includes basic grounds work, waste management, recycling and some cleaning. This role is central to the safety and welfare of our school community.

This role will suit an individual who works well independently although this position is part of the facilities team. As this is a physical job, often outside, the post holder will need to be capable and able to cope with inclement weather. We are an inclusive employer and will make reasonable adjustments for the right candidate.

We have high standards of health and safety; training and professional development are encouraged. Full induction and training will be provided as appropriate to the role.

This is a great opportunity to enter into the employment of Brighton and Hove City Council with all the benefits that this brings including a generous annual leave allowance and secure pension.
