Blackburn College’s Film Academy is a well-established and successful department with high levels of attendance and success. Our students benefit from highly skilled staff with practical industry experience who help them to progress into universities, film schools and the film & television industry.
The National Saturday Club Film Lead will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging film-focused workshops and activities for young people as part of the College’s Saturday Club programme. The post holder will inspire creativity, develop participants’ practical and technical skills in film production, and nurture an understanding of the wider creative industries.
What we are looking for
You should have a UK Honours degree or UK ENIC recognised degree in a relevant subject. Ideally you will also have a PGCE or other relevant teaching qualification (or be working towards).
You should also have practical experience of working in in moving image and/or creative industries and possess excellent teaching and pastoral skills. You should also be able to demonstrate experience of working well in a team to achieve agreed targets.
Experience of delivering National Saturday Club programmes is desirable.
