A Harpenden-based household is looking for an After-school Nanny to help them look after their precious baby and school-aged child. They seek an experienced, caring and easygoing candidate who has a basic understanding of child development. The role includes all standard childcare duties. A driver who owns a car and holds a full driving license is required for this role.
A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.
Working hours: Monday to Friday; split shift from 7:00 am to 8:30 am then 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, approximately 17.5 hours per week. School holidays; Monday to Friday; split shift from 7:00 am to 9:00 am and 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm, approximately 22.5 hours per week
Duties include:
Picking the child up from school and transporting her to and from after-school activities, playdates, or appointments
Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the child
Engaging the child in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park
Encouraging early literacy by reading books to the child
Providing homework assistance and supporting the child educational growth
Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support the child structure and development
