Pay rate: £400.00 per day PAYE
Contract Type: Temporary, Anticipated 6 months
Working Arrangement: Hybrid working, must be able to work in the office 50% of the week
The role:
On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Business Analyst to lead the council’s efficiency and transformation programme. This senior role will oversee the phased delivery of the M365 strategy, including Power Apps deployment and business process re-engineering, to enhance customer-facing services.
You will provide expert business analysis, ensure delivery of high-quality projects, and support colleagues across the organisation to achieve continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a digital services ambassador, leading M365 learning programmes and phased delivery plans.
Support the organisation’s digital transformation strategy and business process re-engineering.
Develop business improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and new ways of working.
Collaborate with all services to align digital solutions with customer needs and corporate strategy.
Analyse customer behaviour to improve experience, encourage digital adoption, and deliver efficiencies.
Gather and evaluate information from multiple sources, providing executive summaries and recommendations.
Lead service reviews, stakeholder workshops, and prepare business requirement specifications.
Plan and manage delivery of projects across teams and organisational areas.
Partner with managers to translate needs into solutions through discovery, design, and deployment.
Conduct feasibility studies, cost–benefit analyses, and contribute to solution design.
Define deliverables, ensure accountability, and monitor progress against deadlines.
Design customer-focused, efficient business processes aligned to the Target Operating Model.
Develop future-state blueprints (organisation, process, and technical design) from current ‘as-is’ analysis.
Produce and present business analysis reports and briefs for stakeholders
What the client is looking for:
Experience of engaging with external and internal stakeholders
Experience of challenging existing processes and implementing digital platforms
Experience of using M365 and its associated APPs at a high level
Knowledge of firmstep/engage, power BI (Business Intelligence)and Engage. software (Desirable)
Experience of using Power automate to automate existing business processes
Experience of producing business cases / benefits assessment reports on process redesigns across TDC
Experience of implementing process redesigns and evidence of benefits realisation across TDC
Experience of risk management, benefits management and business report writing for projects or large workstreams
Extensive experience of presenting data to influence and negotiate across various levels and functions
Extensive experience of presenting and facilitating workshops
Extensive knowledge of complex modelling/mapping business processes using recognised methodologies and tools
Knowledge of multiple business areas (e.g. Finance / HR / IT) minimum 3
Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies
