Drivers perform their daily responsibilities and contribute to the Company’s overall goal of operating efficiently, effectively and profitably. Due to continued growth within M&H Carriers, the position of Van Driver has arisen within our Fort William depot. The successful candidate must be motivated, great customer service skills and have an excellent work ethic.
Main roles and responsibilities
· Collecting / delivering freight in a timely and friendly manner.
· Collecting / delivering freight within customers homes.
· Installing appliances and building of items such as wardrobes, bedframes etc.
· Must have good people skills as this is a customer facing role.
· Helping with loading / unloading vehicles.
· Accurate scanning of freight.
· Manual handling.
· Using a handheld device for capturing proof of delivery.
· Ensuring good housekeeping within the depot and vehicle.
· Demonstrating good health and safety practises.

Hours
Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16:30.
Please note that your employment with M&H Carriers is contingent upon the submission of a basic disclaimer (DBS) within the first three weeks of your start date. If you do not currently have a basic disclaimer, you may obtain one for a fee of £25.00. M&H Carriers will refund this £25.00 fee upon the successful completion of your probation period.
Failure to submit the completed disclaimer within the specified timeframe may result in the reconsideration of your employment status with M&H Carriers.
