Trainee Refrigeration & HVAC Field Service Engineer
Location: Central Scotland
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 + Overtime + Standby Allowance
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Refrigeration Field Service Engineer to join our growing team, covering sites across Central Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid background in electrical fault finding who is looking to develop a career within the refrigeration industry.
What We Offer:
Full training and development provided, with opportunities to progress into a qualified engineer role
Competitive base salary of £28,000 – £30,000
Overtime paid at enhanced rates:
Weekday: Single time
Saturday: 1.5x
Sunday: 2.0x
1 in 4 weekend standby rota (additional standby allowance paid)
Requirements:
Some experience with electrical fault finding (essential)
Full UK driving licence (clean)
A good attitude to work, reliability, and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The Role:
Assisting with the service, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems
Carrying out electrical testing and fault-finding on equipment
Working closely with experienced engineers while you build your skills and knowledge
Supporting with callouts on a 1 in 4 weekend rota (once trained)
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with electrical skills who is ready to take the next step in their career and move into a specialist trade.
