Are you passionate about helping students thrive? We’re on the lookout for a friendly, proactive, and student-focused Student Achievement Advisor to join our awesome team at West Herts College. The role will be based at both our Watford and Hemel Hempstead Campuses.
In this role, you’ll be working closely with students—both one-on-one and in small groups—supporting them with:
Boosting their GCSE English and Maths skills
Navigating exams and assessments
Building up their academic, technical, and research skills
Mastering study techniques to help them succeed
You’ll be part of a supportive team that works with students from all walks of life, including those with learning needs or disabilities. Your job? Help them feel confident, capable, and ready to tackle their courses head-on.
What We’re Looking For:
You’ve got at least a Level 3 qualification and GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
You’re confident helping students improve their GCSE English and Maths skills
You’re great at motivating and engaging learners across a range of vocational subjects
You’re a team player who can also work independently and take initiative
You’ve got top-notch communication skills and can connect with students, parents, and carers alike
You’re organised, resourceful, and always put learners first
You’ll also help track student progress, create tailored support plans, and work closely with curriculum teams to make sure every student gets the help they need.
