As a Teaching Assistant (PMLD Support), you will work closely with the class teacher, therapists, and the wider support team to deliver tailored strategies and ensure consistency of care. The ideal Teaching Assistant (PMLD Support) will demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs.
Essential Qualifications:
- A relevant degree from a Top 10 University (graded 2:1 minimum)
- British Citizenship
Desirable training:
- Manual Handling and Hoist Training
- PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)
- Makaton or other communication approaches
- Experience with sensory integration strategies
- Training in medical or personal care support
