Clinical The postholders duties will be primarily at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford but their presence may from time to time be required in other parts of the Trust, such as the Horton Hospital in Banbury. Teaching/Research/Audit Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust is a teaching hospital Trust, and the post-holder will be required to participate in programs for teaching clinical students, training junior doctors and in clinical examinations. It is expected that this will be an integral part of everyday clinical activity. The Oxford Eye Hospital is an internationally recognised centre of excellence in research, particularly in neonatal vitreoretinal surgery, gene therapy, electronic retinal implants and imaging. Candidates would be expected to engage in some research activity while in post. Additional funding to attend conferences will be provided if Oxford-based research is being presented, for instance, at Euretina or ARVO.
