This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team at Powys County Council with expertise to design and deliver organisation-wide development programmes and OD initiatives that develop our organisational culture, build our leadership capacity and capability, progress talent management & development initiatives, improve our staff experience. You will support the delivery of the Council’s Corporate Strategic and Equality Plan and the People Strategy and the development of a compassionate and inclusive culture where staff feel valued, engaged and have a sense of belonging.
If you are bold, able to challenge the status quo, are courageous in trying out new ways of doing things, this is the role for you. You will be a skilled communicator, able to lead and influence others, be a strong team player with a track record in enabling organisational change.
The team operates in a complex and unpredictable environment that requires a high level of personal resilience and ability to be flexible and adaptable to organisational requirements. The Organisation Design & Development Manager role has the potential to be highly rewarding, developing and supporting individuals, leaders and teams who are passionate about improving colleague and team performance. As part of the Workforce and Organisation Development Service you will have the opportunity to work across different OD workstreams to deliver a tangible difference to Council’s performance.
The role offers agile working; a combination of working at home and on-site (when required) to support colleagues wellbeing and work-life balance. The suitable person would need to be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
If you have excellent communication and project management skills, enjoy multi-tasking, and have a passion for improving colleague and team experience across the Council – we’d love to hear from you!
