Junior Power Apps Developer

Hybrid- Golden Square


Purpose

To support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of business-critical solutions built on the Microsoft Power Platform. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a junior developer to gain hands-on experience in real-world projects, with guidance from senior team members and exposure to a wide range of business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of Power Apps (Canvas Apps) and Power Automate workflows to support business processes.
  • Support integration with Microsoft 365 applications such as SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and Dataverse.
  • Participate in requirement-gathering sessions and contribute to solution design discussions under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Carry out testing and debugging of low-code solutions, ensuring applications are robust and user-friendly.
  • Document features, data flows, and configuration for developed applications.
  • Provide basic support to end users and help resolve common issues with deployed apps and workflows.
  • Learn and apply Microsoft-recommended development practices, security policies, and data protection standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver intuitive solutions.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • 0–1 year of experience with Power Apps and/or Power Automate (academic, internship, or personal projects welcome).
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications such as SharePoint, Excel, and Teams.
  • Enthusiastic about low-code/no-code platforms and digital automation.
  • Willingness to learn Dataverse, Power Platform architecture, and data relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and structured approach to testing and debugging.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

  • Exposure to Power Platform tools through university coursework, internships, hackathons, or self-led learning.
  • Basic knowledge of data concepts (SQL, tables, relationships).
  • Familiarity with JSON, REST APIs, or Azure services is a plus.
  • Microsoft certification (PL-100: Power Platform App Maker or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
