Duties and Responsibilities Development of data models to support HPFTs operations and data led decision-making Support the design and implementation of robust data models and data sets, ensuring data integrity and accessibility across various departments Manage complex data queries using advanced SQL skills and support other team members in SQL proficiency Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative staff to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions Translate data insights into actionable recommendations to support the continuous improvement of HPFTs services Support the optimisation of data workflows and enhance data-driven strategies within the organisation Communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively Maintain compliance with the Trusts Anti-Discriminatory Statement, Employee Charter, Trust Policies and Procedures, Code of Conduct, and Equality and Diversity Foster a data-informed culture within HPFT, driving efficiency and improving outcomes for service users and carers Communications The Senior Data Analyst is required to engage in both formal and informal communication methods to effectively manage their responsibilities. This role involves regular interaction with various stakeholders, including clinical and administrative staff, performance and analytics teams, data warehouse and integration teams, and service leads across the Trust. The communication can range from discussing data needs and providing tailored solutions to translating data insights into actionable recommendations. Given the nature of the information, which may include sensitive and complex data about service users, it is crucial to maintain confidentiality and adhere to relevant UK data protection laws. The post holder must be adept at both written and verbal communication to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively. This includes preparing detailed reports, presentations, and data visualisations, as well as participating in meetings and discussions to ensure that all parties are informed and aligned with the Trust's objectives. The role also requires the ability to handle contentious and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism, ensuring that communication is clear, accurate, and respectful of all individuals involved. By fostering open and transparent communication, the Senior Information Manager will support the continuous improvement of healthcare services and contribute to a data-informed culture within HPFT.
