We are seeking a High Intensity Modality Lead to support and manage the delivery and development of additional modalities within NHS Talking Therapies Southampton.

As a High Intensity Modality lead you will act as clinical lead within an area of expertise, provide expert advice to psychological therapists and other professionals. You will provide non-CBT high intensity modalities that form part of the NHS Talking Therapies programme as recommended by NICE for clients who present a range of complex Anxiety and Depression related problems as well as other mild to moderate mental health problems.

You will supervise and support the psychological assessment and therapy provided by other high intensity therapists and trainees and support other clinical members of the team who provide psychologically based care and treatment.

This is a part time role of 30 hours based in Southampton. Youwill be required to work flexibly across the opening hours of the service.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

You will primarily oversee clinical quality and outcomes for the high intensity team, focusing on the delivery and quality of non-CBT HI additional modalities including evidence based NICE Approved treatments Couples Therapy for Depression (CTfD), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Person Centred Experiential - Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR).

You will work with the locality leads and senior service lead to ensure that national guidelines are adhered to in line with the national NHS Talking Therapy programme, targets are achieved and appropriate clinical governance arrangements are in place.

You will work with the Locality Lead & S3 Specialist oversee and monitor waiting lists for the additional modalities, to ensure timely access to treatment for patients and that the service is achieving KPIs.

Provide specialist psychological therapy to patients from the NHS TT service in an expert area of practice. This involves providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy within one or more psychological therapy models specified by the NHS TT manual, in line with the Roth & Pilling competency framework 2007.

Supervise and support the psychological therapy provided by other high intensity therapists who provide psychologically based care and treatment and provide consultation to non- NHS Talking Therapy colleagues as appropriate.
