Day Nurse (RGN/RMN) – Nursing Home | Part-Time | Up to £23 per hour

Our client is expanding their nursing team and has an exciting opportunity for a Day Nurse (RGN/RMN) to join their care home. This role is ideal for a Registered General Nurse (Adult) or Registered Mental Health Nurse seeking part-time hours while delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Working 30 hours per week, the Day Nurse will play an important role in supporting residents’ health, wellbeing, and dignity. With a focus on safe and effective nursing practice, this position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference every day in a supportive and professional environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN).
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Previous experience in a nursing home setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to nursing care.
  • Willingness to engage in training and professional development.
  • Ability to use medical equipment confidently and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred care in line with residents’ individual care plans.
  • Safely administer medications and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Complete regular health and wellbeing checks throughout the day.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to clinical emergencies.
  • Work collaboratively with carers, therapists, doctors, and other professionals.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and their families.
  • Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or mental health.
  • Promote safeguarding, infection prevention, and high standards of hygiene in line with CQC requirements.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and respectful care environment.
