Crynodeb

The primary responsibility of a Production Operative is operate the production lines to produce materials that meet customer specifications. Operatives will also be expected to support delivery of goods, quality testing and reporting, packing, and dispatch.

This includes ensuring the safety and efficiency of the production process and communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure that production goals are met. All duties must be performed in strict adherence to safety procedures.

Role Specific
This will include, but not be limited to:
• Operate and monitor coating machinery to ensure it is running at maximum capacity, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment and reporting any major breakdowns to relevant teams.
• Work with furnace and product up to 600°C.
• Inspect and pack product in accordance with written instructions.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times.
• Weigh and handle chemicals in an accurate and safe manner whilst wearing and using appropriate protective equipment,
• Wash and clean product ready for production.
• Receive, record and report deliveries.
• Process product in accordance with written operating procedures such as work instruction.
• Measure and record quality information as directed.
• Ensure that all products comply with the relevant Quality Plan.
• Carry our minor equipment maintenance tasks as required.

Health and Safety
• Compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures set out by James Cropper and regulations from relevant authorities.
• Identify and report any hazards, unsafe working conditions, near misses, or accidents to the appropriate personnel and supervisor with urgency, as soon as reasonably possible.
• Demonstrate responsibility and awareness for personal health and safety, and that of others, through active participation in safety programmes and training, as well as appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Follow all safe work practices and standard operating procedures across the site and working area, including maintaining a clean and organised work area.
• Do not use any unsafe machinery or act in any way that could endanger yourself or others.
