Summary
GS Social Care Solutions Ltd are looking for full-time Residential Support Workers to join their team. Working at our Children's Residential Home based in Great Harwood, the successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of between £12.21 and £12.41 per hour.

Role Overview
As a Residential Support Worker, you'll deliver:
24‑hour, person‑centred care within a home environment
Practical and emotional support tailored to individuals’ needs
Assistance with daily living: personal care, meals, housekeeping
Encouragement of independence, dignity, communication, and well‑being
Support with outings, appointments, and community inclusion
Accurate recording of observations and liaising with nurses/managers
Collaboration across multidisciplinary teams (nurses, therapists, social workers)
Adherence to safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies
Key Responsibilities
Implement individual care and support plans to foster progress and independence
Provide personal care support with compassion and respect
Facilitate daily living activities and meaningful engagement
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and professionals
Proactively identify and escalate health or behavioral concerns
Participate in team handovers, meetings, and reflective practices
Maintain a safe, homely, and therapeutic environment at all times
Person Specification
Essential:
Caring, patient, resilient, and adaptable
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Ability to work flexibly (days, nights, weekends, sleep‑ins)
Commitment to safeguarding and resident dignity
Basic digital literacy for record‑keeping
Desirable:
Experience in residential care or support settings
NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards it
Full UK driving licence (often essential)
Training & Development
Full induction via GS Training Academy (moving & handling, safeguarding, LD & autism, complex care and medication)
Onsite nurse-led training for clinical/complex care
