Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Chinese-speaking Maintenance Technician role in a London-based private holding and management firm. The firm serves as the group's head office for a global portfolio of investee businesses across multiple industries. It provides centralized governance, strategic oversight, and shared services to its affiliated entities, supported by a highly experienced team located in key international markets. Currently, they are seeking a bilingual (Chinese and English) experienced person to fill the position of Maintenance Technician.
Job Requirements:
Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar role
Experience in property or facilities management
Relevant training or certification would be preferred
Fluent in English and Chinese
Knowledge of UK building codes and safety standards
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends
Customer service orientation
Physical ability to handle equipment and tools
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues
Coordinate with external contractors and service providers
Maintain records of maintenance activities and inventory
Ensure compliance with safety and building regulations
Communicate effectively in English and Chinese
Assist in planning and executing maintenance schedules.
