We are seeking a dedicatedFood Service Assistant and Barista to join our Catering team at Unilever’s prestigious London Head Office. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the catering services, providing a welcoming environment where staff, visitors, and guests can enjoy high-quality food, beverages, and excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve hot beverages to barista standards.
  • Ensure food safety compliance and uphold Sodexo Health & Safety standards.
  • Maintain stock levels in fridges, shelves, and storage areas.
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
  • Operate tills and app systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Support stock rotation, display, and catering promotions.
  • Keep service counters, dining areas, and back-of-house facilities clean and tidy.
  • Assist across other catering functions such as deli and vending when required.
  • Attend team briefings and training sessions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing catering or hospitality role.
  • Barista experience with the ability to prepare high-quality coffee and hot drinks.
  • Strong focus on customer service with a professional and friendly manner.
  • Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • High personal hygiene standards.
  • A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach.

Desirable skills: knowledge of COSHH regulations and food safety legislation.
