About the Role
Supply Today is seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join a welcoming school in the B30 area of Birmingham on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker or site manager who takes pride in keeping a school environment safe, secure, and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Opening and securing the school premises daily
Carrying out minor repairs, maintenance, and DIY tasks
Ensuring health and safety standards are upheld across the site
Monitoring contractors working on site
Maintaining cleanliness of school grounds and facilities
Responding to urgent issues such as leaks, breakages, or alarm callouts
Supporting with general caretaking duties as directed by the school leadership team
Compliance Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service
Two professional references covering the last 24 months
Proof of Right to Work in the UK
Completed Safeguarding and Prevent training. A solid understanding of health and safety procedures in a school or similar environment
