Crynodeb
Smitham Primary School and Nursery are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and committed qualified ELSA to join our friendly Primary school team. The successful candidate must have the formal ELSA qualification and will work closely with pupils to support their emotional wellbeing, resilience, and social skills, helping them to thrive both in and out of the classroom. The role will be: 18 hours per week (3 days 8.30-3.30) Additional hours can be discussed. Key Responsibilities:Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with social, emotional, or mental health needsDeliver structured ELSA programmes to develop emotional literacy and confidenceWork alongside teachers, SENCo, and parents to support individual needsMonitor and review pupil progressWe are looking for someone who:Has a formal ELSA Qualification Has excellent interpersonal and communication skillsIs nurturing, patient, and empatheticCan build positive relationships with children and adults alikeHas previous experience in a school or support role Start date: Monday 3rd November 2025. *Start date can be tailored to suit a notice period
