Barrs Court Primary School is looking for a hardworking, flexible and adaptable individual to join our friendly housekeeping team.• 10 hours per week, term time only plus 4 weeks in the school holidays (Christmas, Easter & Summer). Full details will be provided at interview.• Monday – Friday, 2 hours per day, 7am - 9am • You are not required to work in the half-term breaks (October, February and May).
Our new cleaner will:
• Take pride in their work to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
• Work closely with the Caretaker and other members of the housekeeping team
• Undertake general cleaning duties to provide a clean, safe and hygienic environment for everyone.
• Work with limited supervision and use their own initiative
• Interact with the Caretaker and other housekeeping staff regarding cleaning duties
• Follow school policy when dealing with pupils or visitors to the school
Closing Date for Applications - midday on Friday 12th September 2025Barrs Court Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety and welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment and all appointments will be subject to appropriate vetting, including an enhanced DBS disclosure check.
Some roles may need to comply with the ‘Childcare Act 2006’ and the ‘Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009’ where additional disclosure of information will be required.
