Responsibilities
Provide specialized support and advocacy to individuals experiencing domestic abuse.
Conduct risk assessments and develop personalized safety plans for clients.
Collaborate with law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive support.
Facilitate support groups and workshops to educate victims about their rights and available resources.
Offer emotional support and guidance to clients throughout their recovery process.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and services provided.
Stay informed on current legislation, policies, and best practices regarding domestic abuse interventions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with domestic abuse victims or in a related support role.
Strong understanding of the dynamics and impact of domestic violence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 08:45
End Time: 17:15
Pay Per Hour: £23.52
