CONTRACT AND PAY RATE

Earnings are up to £15.30 per hour, paid weekly (inclusive of the anticipated tronc payment).

The role carries a permanent contract with typical hours 32 hours per week, working any 4 days out of 7.

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promoting Dakota as a destination to enjoy a wide range of classic cocktails, fine wines, and premium spirits delivered with style.
  • To make drinks in accordance with our menu specifications including mixing cocktails.
  • Managing the bar itself through stock takes, product orders, and driving efficiency to support the guest-facing operation.
  • Supervise the team of Bartenders with the main objectives of ensuring consistency in the drinks being served.
  •  To have a comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage menu options to be able to offer guests recommendations, including understanding the allergens present.

Our location, 179 W Regent St, Glasgow G2 4DP, is easily accessible by bus and train, being less than a 15min walk from Buchannan St Bus Station, Queen St and Central Station. With discounted car parking for both guests and team members at Charing Cross and Cambridge Street car parks.

We are an 83-bedroom luxury hotel boasting a destination cocktail bar, Jack’s Bar, cigar terrace, champagne room, and brasserie-style Grill.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

The successful applicant will have/be:

  • Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wines and spirits is essential.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in a full-service, high-end restaurant and/or bar.
  • At least 1 years experience training others in a Bar or Restaurant environment.
  • Willing and able to pour, serve and sell alcohol.
  • An enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity.
  • Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail.
  • Flexible with shift patterns and available around the needs of our business.
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate having researched our brand and a genuine desire to be part of our team.
