English Teacher - Remote | Flexible Hours | SEND Specialist
Are you an inspiring English teacher with a passion for helping young people re-engage with learning? Our partner school is looking for a dedicated teacher to deliver personalised online English lessons to learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This flexible remote teaching role is perfect for educators who want to make a meaningful impact, helping students gain qualifications, build confidence, and take positive steps toward their future.
Why join us?
At our partner school, we believe every child deserves the chance to succeed, no matter what challenges they've faced. We provide alternative education pathways for learners who may struggle in mainstream school due to social, emotional, or mental health needs, anxiety, or other barriers. With a compassionate and flexible approach, we deliver engaging online English lessons, local tutoring, and outdoor learning experiences at PEAK activity centres.
Our growing team of specialist teachers is committed to creating positive learning journeys that are fully tailored to each individual. If you are passionate about inclusive education and want to see your students thrive, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll do:
Deliver engaging 1:1 online English lessons designed around personalised learning plans
Inspire learners to achieve qualifications such as Functional Skills, Entry Levels, and AQA Unit Awards
Use creativity and empathy to design activities that close learning gaps and build confidence
Foster positive relationships with students, helping them re-engage with education at their own pace
Support learners to progress towards further education, apprenticeships, or employment
What we're looking for:
A strong commitment to supporting students with SEND
At least two years' experience in a SEND or alternative education environment
QTS, QTLS, or equivalent teaching qualifications (advantageous but not essential)
A caring, patient teaching style that puts the learner at the heart of every lesson
Benefits of working with us:
Flexible hours to fit around your lifestyle
Guaranteed teaching opportunities with further expansion planned
NEST enhanced pension scheme
£500 staff referral bonus
Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
Fully funded training and qualifications
Access to a Blue Light discount card and wellbeing support
Enhanced pay scales based on experience and qualifications
Life assurance for peace of mind
Safeguarding and equality
The safety and wellbeing of children is our highest priority. All posts require an enhanced DBS check, suitable references, and online safeguarding checks.
We are proud supporters of the Armed Forces Covenant and welcome applications from service personnel, veterans, and military families. Eligible candidates are guaranteed an interview.
Our partner school is an equal opportunities employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every colleague can thrive
