About the Role:
We are currently recruiting experienced Supply Teaching Assistants to work in a range of schools across Birmingham, including Primary, Secondary, and SEN settings. Positions are available across all Key Stages (EYFS - KS4), with opportunities for both short-term cover and longer-term placements.
You will be working alongside class teachers and SEN staff to provide in-class support, lead small group interventions, and assist with the overall development and progress of pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Assisting pupils with additional needs, including those with EHCPs
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Working flexibly across different schools and key stages
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant (essential)
- Strong understanding of the UK curriculum
- Experience supporting children with SEN
- Flexible, reliable, and confident working in a school setting
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
- A minimum of 6 months experience working in the UK
