About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with class teachers to support students in their academic, social, and emotional development. You may be working with the whole class, small groups, or providing 1:1 support, depending on the needs of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher in preparing and delivering lessons
- Support pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks
- Provide 1:1 or small group support where needed
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Support pupils with additional needs (SEND), if required
- Contribute to planning and assessment where appropriate
Requirements:
Experience working with children in a school or educational setting (preferred)
A relevant qualification (Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent)
A positive, proactive, and patient attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND)
First Aid training
Flexibility to work across different year groups
