Daily Rate: £90-£100 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, Long Term to Permanent

About the Role
We are recruiting a committed and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Shepshed. The school supports children and young people aged 4-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This role is well-suited to those with a background in education, youth work, sports, care or mental health support. While experience is highly valuable, what matters most is a caring, resilient and proactive attitude. An interest in sport or practical activities is a bonus, and graduates who are keen to develop their experience in an SEMH setting are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
- Encouraging participation in lessons and practical activities to build confidence and life skills
- Supporting emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour routines
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive school culture where pupils feel valued and supported
Who We're Looking For:
- Individuals with experience supporting children or young people with SEN or SEMH, or those with a genuine interest in developing this experience.
- People from backgrounds such as youth work, education, sports coaching, care or mental health support
- Applicants must hold, or be willing to apply for, an Enhanced DBS
What the School Offers:
- A modern, purpose-built site with excellent facilities, including a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), science and art studios, a music room, sensory spaces and outdoor learning areas
- Free on-site parking and strong transport links to Loughborough, Leicester and Derbyshire
- Clear career progression routes, including the opportunity to complete teacher training after 12 months in the role (if desired)
