Typical shift as a Housing Concierge

  • If you want a quiet and calm night security job, then this is not the job for you! There is so much more than monitoring CCTV or patrolling the premises

  • First line of support when the wider team or networks aren’t available

  • Ensure building safety through patrols, fire door, locks and security checks

  • Think on your feet to handle incidents, from suspicious activity to emergencies

  • Pitch in with cleaning and tidying when needed

Job details

  • Travel between our Blyth supported services

  • Two week (rolling) rota between the hours of 08.00 and 20.00

  • Although you’ll lone work, we do get together regularly for training and team meetings.

  • Confident using technology for CCTV, records and customer support

You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that

You bring

  • Calm under pressure with strong communication skills.

  • Passionate about supporting vulnerable people (public service experience a bonus).

  • Sociable, observant, and quick to spot changes in behaviour.

  • Confident stepping in before issues escalate, handling situations sensitively.

  • A team player who’s also comfortable working alone, backed by our out of hours team.

  • To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
