Maintenance Operative / handyperson job in Glasgow.
Summary:
- Long term / Temp to Perm job
- £13.74 p/h PAYE + Rolled up holiday pay
- No travelling, work from one location
- Immediate start if you have a basic disclosure
- 35hrs per week
- You will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent role when it goes through the clients process
About your new Maintenance Operative job in the Glasgow area:
- An excellent opportunity to join our public sector client where you'll be involved in general handyman jobs
- An excellent opportunity to enhance your skills, while assisting the trades operatives
- Weekly pay - guaranteed weekly hours
- Mon to Thurs 8am -4:30pm, early finish Friday's
Responsibilities:
You will support the Area Estates team to carry out basic routine planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair tasks.
- Undertake minor repair tasks, training will be provided where required
-Working alongisde electricians will be a large part of the role.
- Supported by the joinery / buiding team, you may also carry out specific allocated tasks.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy working environment and reporting any dangers/deficiencies.
- Carry out external ground's maintenance, where appropriate.
About you:
- You will be reliable, dedicated and serious about taking on a full-time role with our public sector client. - Ideal if you're experienced in maintenance tasks
- Skills and experience in using and handling tools and equipment
-Electrical Bias preferred
- Experience in carrying out basic domestic maintenance repair tasks an advantage
- A basic understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace
- Must be able to pass a Basic Disclosure or already have one.
