The Healthcare Analytics department within Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Senior Analyst to join its Analysis & Reporting team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who has established analyst experience to join a team which is pivotal to ensuring the data and analytics needs of the organisation are met and in supporting the organisation to make data driven, evidence based decisions to support the delivery of patient care.

MSE along with its partners across the Integrated Care System in Mental and Community Health are embarking on an ambitious and exciting 'first of type' EPR deployment which will see a single Unified Electronic Patient Record system implemented across all care settings. You will get an opportunity to work supporting this programme and on a number of other exciting projects and business as usual support.

The Analysis and Reporting team is a welcoming, experienced and supportive team. There are clear and documented processes to help the team members navigate through the various requirements of their roles.

To support home working there are daily huddles to understand priorities for the day, key achievements and successes to be celebrated and opportunity to raise any issues or identify where support is required. There are also team meetings to monitor delivery against our EPR programme where you will need to provide progress updates and actively contribute.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality support across a wide range of areas within planned and unplanned care. The team manages the submission of statutory returns, production of regular reporting, development of new reports in Power BI, and completion of ad hoc data requests for the Trust. You will contribute to the delivery of core functions within the team, ensuring that information provided is accurate, complete, timely, and adds value.

This is a varied and dynamic role, where focus can often shift depending on the current pressures the Trust is facing. As the Trust embarks on a new EPR programme, you will also be critical in supporting the data and reporting priorities of that programme including testing, report re-development (including Power BI) and providing subject matter expertise.

You will need to have extensive analytics experience, along with strong technical expertise in extracting, processing, and analysing data from various source systems. While previous line management experience is not essential, if you are looking to step into a leadership role, you should be able to demonstrate the qualities and aptitude required for team management.

Our ambition is to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and well being of our patients, and provide a vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.

We aim to make the most of our skills and experiences so we can become the best we can be. As one organisation we will recruit the finest and retain more specialist staff due to more employment opportunities across our Trust

The Analysis and Reporting team is a welcoming, experienced, and supportive group. Clear and documented processes are in place to help team members navigate the various requirements of their roles.

To support home working, daily huddles are held to review priorities, celebrate achievements, and provide an open forum to raise any issues or request additional support where needed.
