We are very pleased to invite applications for a Locum Consultant Trauma and
Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust with a
subspecialty interest in general trauma and lower limb surgery. The successful candidate
may be expected to work across the trusts main sites (Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm
Hospital and Royal Free Hospital), but the base site and trauma activity will be on the
Royal Free Hospital site.
This post will join and complement the existing group of orthopaedic surgeons who have
a wide range of interests in elective surgery and orthopaedic trauma and aim to expand
and develop these services.
We are seeking to appoint a trauma and orthopaedic surgeon with a sub specialist
interest in lower limb surgery. The successful candidate will become part of the 24
consultant orthopaedic surgical team. The on-call commitment will be carried out at the
Royal Free Hospital. The majority of the elective work will be carried out on the Chase
Farm Hospital site.
We hope that the individual will play an active role in helping to expand the Lower limb
and Trauma service at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
The post is a full-time Consultant post in Orthopaedics. The on-call commitment will be based at the Royal Free Hospital with the majority of elective sessions carried out at the Chase Farm Elective Orthopaedic Centre. Trauma theatre sessions will be undertaken at the Royal Free Hospitals, along with with regular clinics. The postholder will not be required to attend multiple sites on one given day.
Applicants should possess full GMC registration, and either be on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of receiving their Certificate of Completion of Training
