There are currently 8 substantive and 1 locum interventional cardiologists employed at the LCC. In addition, there are 4 visiting interventional cardiologists from surrounding trusts. The department has OCT with Co registration, IVUS with Sync-vision co-registration, full range of intra-coronary physiology and microvascular assessment capability (we are the first centre in England to recruit for iCORMICA study), rotational atherectomy, Orbital atherectomy, intracoronary lithotripsy and Impella programme. We are well renowned for performing Zero contrast/ ultralow contrast complex PCI procedure across UK with multiple national and international presentations on our technique for this procedure. We have a dedicated CTO (AWE, ADR, retrograde) and complex PCI programme. We have three consultants with an interest in CTO and have collaboration in the Northwest for CTOs. There is a full TAVI programme as well as closure devices for structural heart disease. The Lancashire Cardiac Centre also provides tertiary level EP service, simple and complex devices, and heart failure services.
