Hours of work: Fixed term 1 year contract – 40 hours + Overtime. (11am-7.30pm Mon – Fri + 7am – 6pm Sat-Sun 1 hour unpaid Break)

About us: Established in 1885, Millwall Football Club is one of the most famous football clubs in England. Currently competing in the EFL Championship, they play their home games at The Den, which is based in South Bermondsey, and has been the home of the Club since 1994
Role Overview:
Based at Millwall’s training ground, the key duties of this role include the monitoring of all staff, customers and guests to ensure their wellbeing and health & safety whilst on MFC property. To undertake routine checks of all designated door entrances, gates, fencing and perimeter lighting. To prevent access into restricted areas by any and all unauthorised persons. To present management with incriminating or circumstantial evidence of any unusual or suspicious behaviour by employees or guests.
During the Season you working shift will be 4 days in the week and either a Saturday or Sunday and during the closed season May – July 5 days Mon – Fri.
The ideal candidate will have proven security experience. Be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and support in a front-facing role, presenting the best possible image of the Club and its values to all. Will have the ability to deal with difficult situations, problem-solve and be proactive. They will also hold a current first aid certificate.
Key Responsibilities:
The role includes, but is not limited to:
· Undertake other security related tasks such as locking up buildings, managing key access, directing traffic
· A key holder to open/unlock up the training ground facility on occasional weekends
· Responsible for the lock up and unlock procedure of the first team/Under 21’s and Academy for the players and management on weekends
· To patrol the training ground and the surrounding areas regularly to ensure it is a safe environment
· To be responsible for the smooth entry of visiting teams, players, staff and parents during fixtures held at the training ground
· To conduct regular patrols of the training ground including full perimeter checks for intruders.
· Manning & gate operating of all entry points of premises ensuring no unauthorised access
· Control and record the entry and exit of visitors and staff in line with procedures
· Supervising and monitoring of site car park
Operation Assistant duties
· Control and record the entry and exit of visitors and staff in line with procedures
· Supervising and monitoring of site car park
· Assisting with any maintenance duties i.e. Painting, decorating, furniture assembly and other related tasks directed by your line manager
· Monitoring cleaning supplies and report to line manager
· You will be our Fire marshal & first aider
Essential / Desired Requirements:
· SIA Door Supervisor license
· Proven experience in security industry at sporting events
· Relative to job description
· Role subject to DBS check
· To comply with company dress code whilst on duty
· (Desirable) Maintenance tasks
· (Desirable) Fire Marshal & First Aid
Personal Skills:
· Excellent communication skills
· Experience working in a public event environment necessary
· Ability to work unsupervised and unassisted
· Security and Safety conscious
· Show good attention detail
· Work well under pressure
Hours of Work:
This position is on a fixed term one year contract and work is offered at both our 1st Team & Academy training ground premises. Some additional paid overtime to cover player returns and transfer periods are essential alongside sickness and holiday cover when required
