Crynodeb
Under the guidance of the Pharmacy Technicians, once trained, act as a supervisor and mentor to other pharmacy staff, including trainees, working within Technical Services covering the day-to-day activities in support of the daily manufacturing requirements of the Technical Services unit. Through application of aseptic manipulation skills, prepare an extensive range of sterile injectable medicines and prepare non-sterile products for release. Participate in the daily, weekly, monthly or six monthly cleaning activities associated with maintaining the unit to strict Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines. Accurate prescription and worksheet data inputting- Accurately dispense medicines, ensuring the correct medicines are dispensed to the correct patients and booked out to the correct ward using the electronic stock control and labelling system(s). Under the direction of the Pharmacy Technicians support the training of assistants and new members of staff as they rotate through the different production areas to a level where those staff are ready for assessment. Support transport/distribution of stock and stock control/storeroom duties. This includes checking stock is in date and appropriately stored and delivering medicines throughout the hospital using our own delivery vehicle.
