Are you the right person for the job?
• Experience is preferred but not essential; however, a caring and compassionate attitude is essential
• NVQ 2 or Diploma level 2 in catering is desirable, or you are willing to undertake the qualification
• You must have 4 years or more experience as a cook or chef
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work flexible hours
What will your role look like?
• You will put the resident’s meals and well-being at the heart of everything you do. The Home has currently scored five in food safety inspections every year in the last five years
• You will build meaningful relationships with the residents, understand their nutrition needs, and meet all the food safety regulations
• You will attend to individual resident needs and get to know their unique preferences and personalities
• You will help serve food in the dining room, responsible for the hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen
