Job Summary - We are seeking an enthusiastic resident doctor (CT1-3 equivalent) to join our in-patient mental health team at Edgware Community Hospital, Barnet, London. This post offers an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, within a supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary team.
• Participating in daily morning MDT meetings, patient reviews, and case formulation discussions
• Gaining comprehensive experience in psychiatric assessment, patient management, and multidisciplinary collaboration
• Developing your skills through excellent clinical supervision and training opportunities.
• Consolidating physical health monitoring skills through completion of physical checks, ECGs and bloods
• Completion of discharge summaries
• Develop a working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and its application
