The Role
This well supported post is ideal for an experienced HCPC registered practitioner psychologist seeking to grow in a leadership position. The post consists of 3 days working for our central clinical team, which can be delivered remotely.
Responsibilities as part of the central clinical team include:
• overseeing supervision and development of Via’s psychological professionals
• enhancing the psychosocial components of Via’s Core model
• ensuring policies and processes are psychologically informed
• leading on quality assurance of our psychology offering.
One day is based in our Greenwich clinic. Within the Greenwich service, responsibilities include overseeing supervision and development of the local team of psychological professionals, facilitating improvements in how we support those with co-occurring difficulties with substance use and mental health (in collaboration with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust), and holding a small caseload.
Please note, that we will consider splitting these responsibilities for candidates who are interested only in the aspects of the role that can be delivered remotely.
While Via is a drug and alcohol service provider, we recognise that practitioner psychologists can develop competencies in supporting people with problematic substance use in a range of other services, and welcome applications from diverse clinical backgrounds.
We offer:
• Opportunities for expanding and refining competencies, training and supervision
• Tailoring roles to the person’s interests, including opportunities to work in other parts of the service
• Hybrid working
• To see the generous range of benefits we offer at Via including 30 days annual leave for all new starters, our health and wellbeing initiatives, financial perks and development opportunities – visit our Benefits Package
The role is available on a part-time basis (30 hours a week), but flexible arrangements can be considered for the right candidate.
The role will provide leadership and oversight across Via’s community services, playing a key role in shaping culture and processes. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will hold clinical management responsibility for Via’s psychological professionals and associated trainees. This role will work collaboratively with internal and external colleagues to drive and deliver excellent core practice, clinical modelling and innovation.
Via offers community and residential services for substance use. We nurture new ideas, put co-production at the heart of what we do, and provide clinicians with the support to explore and grow.
This is a 9 month fixed-term, maternity cover vacancy.
For an informal chat about the role, please contact Dr Michelle O’Sullivan, Head of Psychology via Michelle.OSullivan@viaorg.uk.
The closing date for applications is Monday 13 October at midnight.
