Learning Support/College-Link Mentor (Post-16),

The role is a Permanent, Term-Time only role
Monday to Friday: (08:30am – 17:00pm)
Salary from: dependent upon experience
To Start: September 2025

The Post-16 provision supports students aged 16 – 19 years of age. This role would predominantly be supporting students on the College Link provision. These students attend a mainstream college, receiving additional support from College Link Mentors. They then attend Blossom House for additional therapeutic and academic sessions, supported by Teachers, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Learning Support Assistants.

The Learning Support / College-Link Mentor role involves supporting children, assisting the class teacher, therapists and lecturers, helping to maintain the learning environments and assisting with administration.

Place of work:

College Link Mentors support students onsite at the mainstream colleges that the students attend: Nescot College, Merton College and Kingston College (Creative Industries Centre). College Link Mentors can be allocated to any of the colleges, depending on student need. We are actively recruiting for a CLM to support at Kingston College, supporting students in artistic subjects such as Art & Design and Animation, so this could be an ideal opportunity if you are experienced or interested in artistic subjects. College Link Mentors will also be allocated some time onsite at Blossom House School, supporting in lessons and working alongside the wider team.

Requirements of the role:

• Supporting students’ learning in college sessions
• Supporting students’ learning in school sessions
• Meeting with students on a 1:1 basis
• Communicating with the wider staff team at Blossom House as and when required
• Building positive working relationships with college staff
• Work with independence to organise their college timetables depending on student need
