About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and dependable individual to join our multi-skilled maintenance team. You’ll be responsible for a wide range of property maintenance tasks across residential and commercial properties. While teamwork is essential, you must also be confident working independently.
Key Responsibilities
General property maintenance and repairs
Painting & Decorating: Surface prep, wallpaper removal, crack repairs, sanding, painting
Plastering: Patch repairs
Plumbing: Basic repairs and minor installations
Electrical: Socket replacements and basic fault diagnosis
Appliance Installation & Repairs
Carpentry & Joinery: Doors, windows, skirting, kitchen units, locks, stud walls
Groundwork & Fencing: Repairs and site clearance (as required)
Cleaning & Damage Response: Post-repair clean-up and water damage response
Sourcing materials and communicating effectively with team members
✅ Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of building systems and fixtures
Experience in general maintenance, decorating, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and time management
Clear verbal and written communication
Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Other Requirements:
Full UK driving licence (essential – company van provided)
Willingness to travel between properties across Hampshire
Salary & Benefits
£13.50/hour starting rate
6-month probation
20 days annual leave + bank holidays
Pension scheme: 3% employer / 5% employee contribution
Company van provided
Workwear and tools provided
Location: Southampton, with travel across Hampshire
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm
