Support Worker
Putney, Wandsworth, SW15
Permanent
Full-Time
Join a Supported Living provider as a Support Worker delivering daily and independent living support to people with learning disabilities and autism, and/or mental ill health. Supporting to improve lives, outcomes and opportunities for vulnerable adults.
They are a small company which allows them to remain personal and every member of staff is valued for the unique insight they bring. The structure and size of their company also means that there are plenty of opportunities to learn, grow and help them shape the organisation. They create together.
THE ROLE:
- In this role, you will collaborate on effective support-planning for service users.
- You will be working in a relaxed, professional but non-corporate environment. Their services are based in the town area of Putney, and if you came to work with them, you would join their community of people working in a residential area near the river.
- This company is looking for Support Workers and Senior Support Workers, depending on experience. Seniors would take on a supervisory role and help shape the team in their service. (There are also opportunities for people to join as an apprentice).
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
LOOKING FOR FUN AND CREATIVE PEOPLE TOO WHO CAN BRING THAT SIDE OF THEIR PERSONALITY TO SUPPORT.
- Ideally Support Worker experience with people with learning disabilities and autism. They are however very open to ambitious people with the right attitude as they will provide training and support on the job.
- Due to occupational requirements, they are looking for a male support worker to support their male residents. There are roles available for female staff too.
- They are looking for people who are pro-active, dynamic and who are interested in care.
- Reasonable commute to Putney is required.
SALARY & BENEFITS
- £12.50 starting rate or more p/h based on experience and education
- 20 days public holidays
- Opportunity to work with a team who will support you to grow.
This is an exciting opportunity to build on your current care skills, or to get a foot in the door in care in a company where you will have the support and opportunity to grow.
No overseas applicants please. Visa applications cannot be considered.
