Marshfield Primary School is a very happy, kind and caring school. We work together with families and the local community to provide the best possible education and life experiences for our children. Marshfield is a charming village just off the A420 within easy access of Bristol, Bath, Yate and Chippenham.We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team and work within our mixed EYFS and Year 1 class. This exciting role is 30 hours per week (8.30 – 3.30 Mon - Fri).
Our ideal candidate will be friendly and enjoy working with children
You will also have:
• Experience in working in a school
• Have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
• The ability to use teachers plans to adapt and resource support for group and individual needs
• The ability to be flexible and adapt with change
• A caring and inclusive ethos
• High expectations of every pupil both academically and in their behaviour
• Understanding of group dynamics to promote group effectiveness and support group and individual performance
• The ability to observe and assess children’s learning and development and to identify next steps
You will also:
• Use praise, commentary and assistance to develop thinking and support pupil’s engagement
• Consistently and effectively implement agreed policies and strategies
• Contribute to the assessment, planning and delivery of lessons and intervention in collaboration with the teaching team
• Have a good sense of humour
