Community Employment Mentor - Housing

Description
As a Community Employment Mentor - Housing, you will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals to achieve sustainable employment while securing stable housing. In this dynamic position, you will work closely with clients who face challenges related to homelessness, unemployment, and underemployment. Your efforts will focus on providing guidance, support, and practical resources to help them navigate the complex intersection of housing stability and employment. You will collaborate with local organizations, government agencies, and community stakeholders to identify job opportunities and housing resources that align with the unique needs of each client. Through one-on-one mentoring sessions, workshops, and community outreach, you will instill confidence and essential job-seeking skills in your clients, guiding them toward their career goals. Additionally, you will monitor client progress, adapt interventions as necessary, and help foster a supportive network that encourages personal and professional growth. Responsibilities
Provide individualized employment mentoring to clients facing housing challenges.
Assess clients' skills, interests, and employment barriers to develop tailored action plans.
Facilitate job readiness workshops focusing on resume writing, interviewing skills, and job search strategies.
Connect clients with housing resources and assist them in navigating local housing programs.
Establish and maintain partnerships with local employers and organizations to identify job opportunities.
Monitor clients' progress, providing ongoing support and adjusting plans as needed.
Collect and manage data related to client progress and program outcomes, reporting regularly to stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or related field.
Proven experience in job coaching, mentoring, or social services.
Strong understanding of housing issues and resources within the community.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and community partners.
Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills.
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards individuals facing economic and housing challenges.

Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £14.82
Location: Newport, Wales
