Gwernymynydd CP School and Ysgol y Waun are small, happy and caring schools, where the staff are dedicated and hard working and children are motivated and enthusiastic. Ysgol y Waun and Gwernymynydd CP are both part of the Hafod Federation.
We have a vacancy for caretaker at both Gwernymynydd and Y Waun. Currently, this role is currently carried out by one person who works across both sites, however we can be flexible with the appointment and can split/share duties if suitable candidates wish to share the role and work on one site or just mornings/evenings.

An agreed contract of up to 16 hours which may be either mornings or afternoons at both schools, duties will be part of the full role.
The successful candidate should be able to manage the day to day running of the school site, including repairs and maintenance. We would love to hear from you if you are an experienced caretaker or ex-tradesperson. DIY skills are desirable, as is the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.
The two sites need to be open by 7.40am and closed from 5.45pm. Hours to be discussed and agreed.
We will provide the relevant safety equipment and ongoing training as required.
