Job Title: Junior Internal Communications Specialist
Department: Communications
Reports to: Director, Internal Communications
Location: UK Remote (with global collaboration across EMEA and Americas)
Pay Rate: £16.70 per hour
Contract Length: 6 months
Role Summary
As a Junior Internal Communications (IC) Specialist, you will support and manage internal communication channels, with a strong focus on the global intranet platform. You'll ensure content is current, engaging, and aligned with CHI's communication strategy. You'll also guide and train content editors, analyze platform usage, and support storytelling and digital content creation across CHI locations.
Key Responsibilities
Intranet Management- Lead the development and coordination of the CoLab intranet platform.
- Act as a global expert, providing training and support to content managers and end users.
- Monitor and report on intranet analytics to improve engagement and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with IT and the Director of Internal Communications to evolve the intranet as the central information hub.
- Write and edit business and human-interest stories aligned with corporate messaging.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and repurpose content across platforms.
- Manage editorial calendars and draft internal announcements and articles.
- Design and produce engaging videos and graphics that support internal storytelling.
- Ensure brand consistency and timely delivery of digital content.
- Use industry-standard design tools and stay current with digital trends.
- Assist with internal communication initiatives and projects as assigned by leadership.
- Contribute to cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (e.g., Motion Design, Graphic Design).
- Experience: 1-3 years in communications or digital communications (not required if UK-based).
- Languages: Native-level English required.
